ABOUT
In my 20+ years in admission at Buckingham Browne & Nichols, Choate Rosemary Hall, and most recently as the Director of Admission at Roxbury Latin,
I've also served as a history teacher, varsity coach, and academic advisor, working directly with students day in and day out — so my understanding of fit comes from years of firsthand, personal engagement with kids navigating this stage of their lives.
My own path through education was just as varied: I moved through public, parochial, and international schools growing up, so I know what it's like to navigate very different environments as a student. And as the father of two daughters who have gone through the independent school process themselves, I've also sat on your side of the table — weighing the same decisions, asking the same questions, wanting the same thing for my own children that you want for yours.
The depth and breadth of independent schools, particularly in the New England area, is impressive. But it can also feel overwhelming. By comprehensively understanding each student that I work with, I am able to draw on my experience to identify those places where they are best suited to thrive - not just academically, but socially and emotionally, too. While this journey will undoubtedly have some moments of stress, my goal is to make it enriching and yes, fun! - you will learn a great deal about your bedrock values and helping students understand themselves - not just strengths and interests, but areas for growth and exploration.
I look forward to working with you to find the right school for you.
